Pets and Ponies

  • Two semester sessions available for the school year (September – January ; February – June)
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
  • 3:30pm – 6:00pm
  • Ages 4-12
  • Beginning horsemanship for true animal lovers!

This drop-off after school program for children ages 4-12 is about handling and caring for our wide variety of exotic, barnyard, and domestic animals. Each week they will learn about different aspects of caring for the animals at Sweet Meadow Farm including; feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls and enclosures, animal safety, and basic animal handling. Animals they will learn to care for include; a wallaby, pot belly pigs, miniature horses, bunnies, guinea pigs, ferrets and many more!!!

Complete this fun experience by feeding the animals their dinner and putting them to bed. All kids in this program will also get a pony ride on one of our well- trained school horses.

Programs take place in our insulated barns and heated buildings, as well as our indoor riding ring.

Participants should wear long pants and close-toed shoes or boots and weather appropriate shirts and jackets.

YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR THE ENTIRE SEMESTER

This program is run in two semesters: September – January and February – June.

You can sign your child up at any time in the semester, the price will be prorated.

Cancellation Policy:

Full payment is due at the time of registration. Sweet Meadow Farm does NOT give credit and/or refunds if participants miss or cancel any of the programs’ classes.
