Lessons June-August are offered Monday-Friday 8am, 3pm-5pm and Saturdays.

REQUEST FOR A WEEKLY RIDING LESSON

Lessons are booked on a weekly schedule and each month is paid prior to the 1st of the month. We also offer one-time riding sessions depending on availability.

(We are currently fully booked for lessons after 1pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays. Please join our waitlist for future openings.)

We strive to teach students to be an all around equestrian. Lessons are tailored to each rider’s skills level and teach basic handling and grooming along with riding skills. Riding provides both mental and physical healthy benefits along with improving core strength, balance, coordination and muscle strength.

Our riding instructors are licensed or in an apprenticeship.

HALF HOUR RIDING LESSON:

Designed just for our youngest riders, these fun and engaging half-hour private lessons are a great introduction to the world of horses! Each session includes about 10 minutes of hands-on grooming and tacking up, followed by 20 minutes of riding with one of our patient, experienced instructors.

Students begin learning the basics of horsemanship and riding, including how to steer, stop, trot, and sit properly in the saddle. It’s a wonderful way to build confidence, coordination, and a love for horses—all in a safe, supportive environment.

Price is $75 per lesson.

PRIVATE RIDING LESSONS:

Our one-hour private lessons are perfect for riders of all levels—from first-timers to advanced students. Each session includes time for grooming and tacking up your horse (about 15 minutes), riding (around 40 minutes), and untacking and caring for your horse afterward (about 5 minutes).

Lessons are taught by our experienced instructors and are tailored to each rider’s individual goals and abilities. As you grow in confidence and skill, your instructor will guide you through the stages of riding at your own pace.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine advanced techniques, we’re excited to help you on your riding journey!

Price is $100 per lesson

GROUP RIDING LESSON:

Once riders are confident and able to control their horse independently, they may be eligible to join our group lessons. Our instructors carefully match students with others of similar skill and experience, creating a fun and supportive learning environment.

All riders begin with private lessons and may request to join a group when ready. Group lessons typically include 2 to 4 students, with some advanced Saturday sessions accommodating up to 5 riders.

To keep group dynamics balanced and enjoyable for everyone, Sweet Meadow Farm may occasionally adjust group placements as needed. We appreciate your understanding as we work to create the best experience for all our riders!

Price is $85 per lesson.

All students will meet their instructor in our viewing room.

Riders must be dressed appropriately with soft, stretchable pants/jeans, boots with a heel, weather appropriate shirts and jackets, and riding helmet.

It is possible to borrow riding boots and a helmet.

We offer a larger indoor riding ring with premium footing for riding along with the possibility of riding in one of our two outdoor riding rings. We only cancel lessons due to extreme weather.

We have a weight limit

Sweet Meadow Farm focuses on children’s lessons. We do have limited lessons available for some adult riders with experience. We have ponies and small horses so we have a weight limited of 150 lbs.

Cancellation Policy:

You must contact us 24 hours before your lesson to cancel in order to receive a credit that can be applied for future use. Credit memos are issued, No Refunds.

Please call or email during business hours (between 10a – 6pm) to reschedule your lesson without being charged. If you cancel within 24 hours of your lesson, you will be charged the full price of your lesson. Considerable time goes into planning lessons with instructors, paying instructors and reserving horses for riders, therefore it is the responsibility of the rider to come to lessons and be on time.
